"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." β 1 John 1:9
Heavenly Father, I humble myself and surrender completely at Your throne of Grace in the name of Jesus Christ. I approach You with reverence, recognizing You as the one true God. You are holy, righteous, and just, and I worship You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Thank You for Your everlasting love, grace, and mercy.
Jesus Christ, You said in Matthew 6, "If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins."
Today, Lord, I choose to forgive everyone who has hurt me in any way β mentally, physically, or otherwise. I will no longer hold bitterness, resentment, or vengeance. I forgive those who lied about me; I forgive those who plotted against me; I forgive those who rejoiced at my pain; I forgive those who mocked and scoffed; I forgive those who secretly wished me harm.
I release them all into Your hands, Jesus. I choose to bless instead of cursing; I choose to release instead of retaliating; and I choose to love everyone as You have loved me.
Lord Jesus, I also forgive myself for falling short in my roles as a family member, partner, friend, coworker, neighbor, and servant of Christ.
I repent, Lord Jesus. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. Forgive me, Father, for every word, thought, and action that grieved Your Holy Spirit. Forgive me for bitterness, strife, jealousy, lust, hypocrisy, perversion, idolatry, pride, immorality, unbelief, fear, anger, and disobedience. Wash me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, cleanse me from all sins, iniquities, and unrighteousness, and make me new.
I lay everything at the cross, Jesus. Help me hate evil and cling to what is good. Strengthen me to resist temptation and flee all appearances of evil.
Today, I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, I invite You to dwell in me, guide me, and fill me with Your power, so I can walk obediently and live for God all my days.
I accept Your forgiveness and restoration, Lord Jesus. Help me live a new life, empowered by Your Spirit and worthy of Your calling. Thank You that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Thank You for saving me, as Your word says in Romans 10:13, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Thank You, Jesus.
In Your mighty and majestic name, Jesus, I pray.
